joy to the world

I couldn't very well leave you with the creepy Christmas!
This year we have bought an artificial tree*.
After a couple of years of real Christmas tree allergies,
we have succumbed.
I do love a real tree...
...however I'm really loving the flexibility of our new one.
That and the fact that it doesn't need watering!!

I have quite an eclectic mix of decorations..
maybe a little on the crazy side,
and ever so slightly reminding me of ELF.
(which I watched yesterday whilst teaching Karen to crochet)
There is still plenty of tweaking time and I'm off to
Winchester Christmas market today,
so there may well be more decs to come...
...I'm thinking something santa-ish.

Your tree is really beautiful, we haven't put ours up yet here. Lots of snow today which has hampered my shopping plans. Wishing you a wonderful Christmas

It's beautiful! Love that you don't have tinsel. one day when I have sole tree rights my tree will be elegant like this!

Beautiful tree Clare!
We have an artificial one too due to lack of space but I also love a real tree. We found we had to cut off so much of it to fit it in, shame really.
Isn't Elf so funny, no matter how many times you watch it. :)
Enjoy the market and have a lovely weekend,
Vivienne x

Ours is artificial too, except I haven't even put it up yet!

I did watch Elf last week tho, and Santa Claus 3.

Did you crochet the snowflakes? I'd love to do some for next year.
If you did do them - can I ask how you stiffened them?

The gingermen garland is real cute.

Cheers

Your tree is lovely - I think its the same one we got when we went over to the dark side last year! Still - 25 years of real trees was not a bad run! Happy Christmas Clare!
