friday roundup

This week I made some bunting for the first time. It was refreshingly simple to make and came together well. I actually have it at my work room window but I cant take a good photo because of the light.

I've also been hoarding more fabrics again for the quilt. Its not exactly how I imagined it would turn out, but that's the beauty of handmade quilts I suppose. The main reason for the unusual colour combinations is down to buying fabrics online, as they are not always what you expect, but I think it will be ok. I am trying to use a different fabric for each star, more stripes and plains needed now I think.

Have a great weekend whatever the weather!!

Your quilt is coming along beautifully. We can be out in the garden when the weather is good and inside crafting when it's not can't we? Have a lovely weekend hopefully spent in the garden! I don't know when we are supposed to fit housework in though!

The quilt is looking lovely. I find it's the scale of the pattern that catches you out when buying online - even if they give dimensions I can't guess at it- I've been so disappointed a number of times - expecting a spriggy print and getting blousy and visa versa! You seem to make it work just fine! t.x

Hiya - yes to St Judes - me huge fan also as well as loving a number of their other regular print-makers. Their gallery is in the process of moving to new premises so don't visit soon! Get on their mailing list for more info. t.x

Hiya, your quilt looks gorgeous! I love the star shapes, I've always been too scared to try that. The bunting is so pretty as well.

I got the ribbons from this ebay shop - http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Beads-Needs-UK and they arrived the day after ordering! I thought 99p for 5 metres of ribbon was great.
