les fleurs de Bretagne

There is a somewhat effortless style when it comes to horticulture in Brittany.
Hydrangeas, hollyhocks and pelargoniums were aplenty!










Look at this beauty!
The desperation to get home and garden was immense.
This trip has given me so much inspiration to simplify my own garden, 
less is more!

By far one of the quaintist places we visited was
Pont Aven, 
an extremely pretty little town, albeit touristy.
However even the simple villages had that
je ne sais quoi..


ps. tomorrow will be flea market finds!

Aren't the hydrangeas just incredible! My neighbour has managed to get one of hers that colour even down here, on clay - she says it's all to do with slate amongst the roots...
