Um. Am I stupid? In what way is life like a custard pie? Is this good or bad? Custard pie in mouth - good (except for everlasting memories of an 'off' custard tart I bit into in chidhood). Custard pie in face - bad. Anyway, ignorance aside, I love your photo and hope all is well.
and i was thinking a bowl of cherries.. i have always likened my mum to wendy craig's character from butterflies whilst we were growing up... the vagueness and the food! i am doing her a huge injustice though! hope your summer is good x

As a kid we sang 'life is like a custard pie' instead of butterfly, as in the theme tune to the sitcom 'butterflies'.
Thanks for asking as I have now realized the actual song title was ' love is like a butterfly'!
So maybe it should be 'love is like a custard pie!!'
