garden party

Floss at troc broc and recup had a garden party to celebrate her 40th birthday, so I thought I'd throw the perfect virtual garden party in her honour!

prayed for sun

made (more) cakes

mmm..

got out me best china (hehe)

Hired Betty and her tea hut, you cant have a garden party without tea!

strawberries and cream

A surprise guest, its Josh Holloway!!

He's a sucker for home made cake and a bit of vintage chit chat!

Afternoon spent relaxing in the garden,
the air filled with the scent of rose and lavender

At the end of the day it had all been to much!
Its time to return home!

Happy Birthday Floss!

Ah how lovely, id like a day like that! I have so many 'mens jobs' which need doing in my garden at the moment that i cant enjoy it properly, mr p needs to drill me lots of holes and ive run out of dirt and muck-cant collect any myself as my sciatica is too bad to lift it! hmph.
Your white foxgloves look stunning, id love some of those in my new border next year, and can i trouble you to tell me what the plant is in between the two orange rose bushes in the photo above the home heart, its green and kind of 'fluffy' i cant remember if i planted it or if its a weed but i have it in my front border and have no idea what it is!

What a lovely party - thanks so much! I'm not really blogging this week but when I saw your first photo on my blog list I had to visit and I'm so glad I did! It's a great addition to all the wonderful garden parties I've already been to. My own is actually next weekend, and I will post some photos of that when we've recovered - we're also praying for blue skies, as the long term forecast was terrible, but is now slightly better...

Hmm im sure its not Euphorbia as i have some of that and its completely differnt, maybe we're looking at a different plant! Thankyou anyway hun. CK winch is opening early next month but STILL no official date, they're doing it up as we speak so i know where it is and that it should be finished soon, but dont quite know when, so frustrating!

Goodness, that sounds like my kind of party! I love that tea hut - what's the story behind it? DO you know the lady who runs it? Fabulous post x
