keep calm and carry on

I'm back in the land of the living. I was hoping to share some exciting news with you all, but it seems that its not just our blackbirds having problems bringing up a brood. Those of you who can read between the lines will understand my absence.

The garden on the other hand is blooming marvelously! The wisteria is the best its ever been this year, its even attracted our blackbirds to build a nest in, which is pretty funny seeing a bird diving in amongst the greenery.

Craft took a back seat for a while, however I did manage to finally send out my give-aways for
Mel and Mary. I really enjoyed making these special hearts. I especially liked how the patchwork one turned out.

I think its time I got serious and started selling, what do you think? They do take a fair amount of time to make, being hand stitched. I think it would be a labour of love rather than a money spinner.
Now I'm off to catch up with all your blogs! Its like having lots of lovely deliveries turn up at once!

God bless! The hearts are really special - you can see they're a labour of love. I've just been sent my first two hanging hearts in a lovely swap, and I can feel the addiction creeping up on me...

Thank you again for the beautiful heart we all love it here and is especially poignant for us as you know, it is hanging in the children's room and I do indeed smile everytime I look at it, thank you so much.

Pleaaaaaase sell your things, they are beautiful and so well made, but only sell them to me though because I want them all to myself ;)

Ohooo alright you can sell your pretties to one or two more ;)

Hello, been thinking of you recently as I've started making hearts too! Saw some on holiday that were for sale for a ridiculous price so thought we (me and a friend) could do better! Some out-of-focus efforts can be seen on my facebook page. We're hoping to take the ones we've made to a craft market, maybe on the 1st of June. :)

So sorry to hear the sad news.

Sorry to hear that things are not working out as they should. Glad to have you back. I love Wisteria. I have a phrase that I use when I see a house heavily clad with it - "Look at the Wisteria on that!!" My hubby thinks its hilarious and now uses the phrase when he sees a "heavily clad" boosom on a lady!!!

So sorry to hear about you and your blackbirds.
Life is a trial at times ... like everyone above says ... been there myself.
Stay strong

As for selling - go for it! Nothing beats the buzz of somebody paying you actual money for something you've crafted!
