sofa bound

I hope you are all experiencing some blue skies
today like I am.
However I can only revel in the blue I can see
from my sofa view.
Because I am sofa bound
as I'm trying to make a baby again
(and I don't mean the old school way!)
I've never really felt comfortable sharing such personal info
here on my blog.
This is the last year of trying
in my 8 year battle with my fertility,
so I don't mind sharing a little of what has taken over
my life,
along with the patchwork and the crochet of course!!
So this is my current view
from our lounge in the dining room.
Yep still relocated here, hopefully the sanding of floors
will commence in the next couple of weeks.
Great timing heh?!
Anyway I love being able to look through into our kitchen from the outside!
So my friend recently re-gifted me a basket which I truthfully speaking
wanted to keep when I gave it to her!
Sometimes you can't push your likes (wicker)
onto someone else.
Being sofa bound doesn't stop me from making
a big old fabric mess!
So it's ideal that I have this basket
to keep me and my mess in check!
My goal is to fill it with
patchwork hexagons...bliss.

I just wanted to say a big thank you for your interest in my last post.
I'm thrilled that some of you are joining in
and hopefully realising how much joy can be had by spending very little.

My husband has banned me from using my lap top for these
two weeks!
So shh! Don't spill the beans.

So if I'm absent from your blogs don't worry
 I will be back!
I have some good reading fodder to tide me over...
...but aahhh I've not yet sown any seeds!!

I am making them whilst the dinner is on, when I have a spare moment to myself etc. I just can't stop! Have a lovely weekend. Lets see who can make the most hexagons!!!x

I did actually like the basket so you weren't forcing your likes on me! I just realised it had sat on the table (for a year or two!, wasn't being used and had never found it's place! I just have no space here and have far too much rubbish....I need to have a big clear out! Keeping everything crossed ;0) xx

Sending my very best wishes Clare, with everything crossed for you!
You just enjoy lying there and doing nothing but reading, crocheting, doing patchwork and thinking postive thoughts. :)
I won't tell your husband, the less husbands know the better! ;)

Best wishes I do hope the baby making works out for you. Its strange but yesterday I also dug out one of my favourite wicker baskets to store my crochet in. I love wicker baskets and would probably fill the house with them given half a chance, so useful and rustic.

Making hexagons is a great sofa-bound activity, can't wait to see what you come up with.

All the best luck in the world, fingers and toes crossed for you and hubby. x

Enjoy having your feet up for a while - I'm sure the wicker basket will soon be filled with patchwork!
I've got a basket just like that permanently attached to the sofa...it's full of felt ready for any time a feel like a spot of hand sewing.

Hey a little hexagon pass a long , I was reading a book where a woman found an old 1930s box full of hexagons and the papers were still in them. As she read them she discovered the hexies were made with a love letter paper.. So I thought we could do the same thing today, we can write our favorite pizza delivery number on them, our daily journals or fav poems , tv programs etc, sorta leave a little history behind..Yes or even a love letter to someone on the back of hexy papers..Just a thought...
